Vijay Paranjape is an experienced Seed Industry professional with over 25 years’ of experience in diverse areas of Agricultural Biotechnology ranging from discovery to product development, intellectual property protection and regulatory compliance. In his current role at Sathguru Management Consultant, he advises Agri-input industry clients on innovation advancement, R&D strategy, technology scouting & assessment, IP strategy, business growth strategy and international development. He is also the Associate Director for USAID funded Feed the Future Bt Eggplant project in Bangladesh advising and overseeing activities being carried out in Bangladesh. Prior to joining Sathguru, Vijay worked with Monsanto taking roles of increasing responsibility in discovery, product development and regulatory.

Vijay has a Ph.D in Molecular Biology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and post-doctoral experience in plant biotechnology from Imperial College, London and Washington State University, Pullman, USA. Vijay is also a Visiting Fellow, International Programs, College of Agriculture & Life Sciences at Cornell University, USA
