Krishna Kumar is a Partner and Chairman at Sathguru Catalysers. He brings with him over 42 years of rich experience in commercial banking and investments. His areas of expertise include corporate financing, international banking, equities, institutional building governance and risk management.

Prior to Sathguru, he was engaged with State Bank of India (SBI) for 39 years and has held diverse and increasing responsibilities covering all aspects of corporate investments. During his tenure with SBI he held several important portfolios such as corporate banking, international banking, investment banking, retail banking and strategic management. His last assignment with State Bank of India was Managing Director responsible for the overall operations of the bank. He has held a number of board positions, including that of SBICAP Securities, SBI Life Insurance, SBI General Insurance, and SBI Credit Cards, subsidiaries of the State Bank of India. He is currently an Independent Director on the Board of Andhra Bank, Central Depository Services (India)Ltd, Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd and Suraksha Asset Reconstruction Pvt. Ltd.

He is a B.A. (Hon.) in Economics from Delhi University and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB)
