Dr. Anand Singh

Agriculture Inputs Sector Expert

Dr. Anand Singh serves as the Vice President of the Life Sciences Advisory Group at Sathguru Management Consultants. With over two decades of experience spanning both the public and private sectors, he is a seasoned agribusiness professional, offering strategic advisory services to agribusiness enterprises and investment firms.

At Sathguru, Dr. Anand specializes in guiding clients in the agrochemical sector across India, the United States, and Asia. His expertise includes business growth strategies, market entry planning, strategic business plans, regulatory pathway navigation, expansion strategies, and investment advisory. He has collaborated with sales and marketing teams to drive portfolio expansion, develop targeted marketing strategies for new and existing products, and facilitate strategic collaborations for product licensing and technology transfer.

Dr. Anand has successfully led projects across diverse domains, including agri-inputs (seeds, agrochemicals, and biologicals), e-extension, and product development. He has also played a pivotal role in delivering information and communication technology (ICT) tools to clients in South Asia and Africa. Additionally, he has contributed to international development initiatives funded by bilateral and multilateral organizations, focusing on agriculture, agricultural education, and ICT-driven solutions for developing countries.

Prior to joining Sathguru in 2014, Dr. Anand was associated with Monsanto, a global leader in agricultural technology innovation. As a Technology Development Manager in Monsanto’s vegetable seeds division, he was instrumental in evaluating new vegetable hybrids to enhance market competitiveness across North India. In his role as Lead for Customer Advocacy in the Asia-Pacific region, he spearheaded the deployment of IT software solutions for Monsanto’s business units in India, Pakistan, China, Korea, Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore.

Dr. Anand’s diverse expertise encompasses market assessment, product development, and project management. Notably, during his tenure at the National Botanical Research Institute, a premier CSIR organization, he played a key role in advancing solid substrate fermentation technology for agricultural biological products.

Dr. Anand holds a Ph.D. in Botany (Plant Pathology), with a specialization in biological control, further reinforcing his deep-rooted expertise in agricultural science and innovation.
